Lost in the week
I’m a member of a local arts group. We are a very broad range of artists and makers. We have sculptors, watercolour artists, textile makers, photographers and ceramicists to name but a few. I find it a very stimulating group to network with. Every year we have two major public exhibitions at our home gallery. Although I’m an amateur I still relish the challenge and discipline provided by the need to get pieces ready for the shows. And I have occasionally sold my creations.
Last night I was pretty busy working on some exhibition pieces, believing I only had one more day to get them finished and submitted. Today is Thursday and I had been thinking it was Friday. So imagine how I felt when I got up today and discovered that I had added a whole day to my week. Instead of there only being one day to the weekend there were now two!
So the benefit of being lost in the week was that I managed to gain a whole day. How cool is that? Have you been lost in the week? What were the positive benefits of it for you? What else could you do to recreate those sort of opportunities?
